Oliver (verified owner) –
Bought these, as needed a lower pressure load with low brass for an older gun. Was worried switching from Black Gold, but very happy with the performance.
Only comments would be that I’d recommend the 5s for pheasants, as the 6s didn’t have enough oomph from November onwards. Also the boxes were a bit battered for some reason?
Great choice for traditional guns!
Oliver Ringsby-Burgess (verified owner) –
These have become my go to for traditional guns, as the lower pressure and short brass gives comfortable shooting, efficient patterns, and smooth extraction.
They have performed consistently well across both pheasant and partridge, although I do have a preference for the 5s for any mixed days (6s used on early season partridge only days with much success).
Only possible grumble is that the quality of the boxes does not match other Gamebore products, and they often fall apart if not kept in the 250 slab.
